  • "Thos. Moser: Legacy in Wood" Exhibition Opens July 15, 2017

    The museum's newest exhibition, "Thos. Moser: Legacy in Wood" opens on Saturday, July 15. Museum admission will be free of charge all day. "Thos. Moser: Legacy in Wood" is a traveling exhibition illustrating the artistic vision of Tom Moser, Maine's legendary furniture maker. The exhibit will remain on view through January 13, 2018.

  • Museum Exhibition Features Rare Maliseet-Made Blanket Coat

    A rare and early blanket coat, or capote, takes center stage in the exhibit, "Beyond Boundaries: The World of the Capote." On public view for the first time, the capote, with moccasins and matching leggings, shows beautiful porcupine quill embroidery and dyed moose hair tassels bound with tinkling cones. The exhibition will be on view through September 2017.
