Maine Voices from the Civil War will be on view through September 5, 2015, 150 years after the end of the war itself. Several organizations gave generous support to the Windover Foundation; Libra Foundation; A. R. and Marylouise Tandy Foundation; Green Meadow Fund of the Maine Community Foundation; Davis Family Foundation; and the Maine State Museum Commission. Nearly all the artifacts, images, and quotes in Maine Voices from the Civil War are from the collections of the Maine State Museum. Mystic Seaport Museum, the Belfast Historical Society and one private individual each lent one object. The Maine State Archives, the National Archives, and the Library of Congress generously gave permission to reproduce graphics and documents.
